I am so sorry to hear that!I will definitely be praying as well- for him and his family, and also for you and your friends to be a great support system for him.
I think it's awesome that you're asking for prayer (if that doesn't sound too weird) because I believe prayer is a very powerful thing.
I will pray for strength and peace- especially at this time of the year.
